National Coaching Accreditation Scheme
Judo Queensland provides education and training to its members
in a variety of areas including grading, coaching, refereeing and
events. Judo Australia are completing a review of the structure,
content and delivery of its coach education program with the
ultimate aim of improving the National Coach Accreditation Scheme.
As a part of the review the previous coaching levels 1, 2 have been
renamed to provide guidelines for coaches to best describe
which coaching level is appropriate for them. Level 3 is still
under review.

This program trains coaches who have
some experience in the sport and aims to provide the coach
with the knowledge and skills to develop athletes to their
potential. Teaching fundamentals and interpersonal skills
progressing to coaching competition will be highlighted. They will
have enough knowledge to develop an annual program with a
basic knowledge of sports science.

State Level Judo Coaching
Accreditation builds on the basic skills and introduces more
advanced skills. The program is aimed at coaches intending to
work with and to prepare State Level players and teams
through to junior National teams. It aims to develop the
coach's concepts of applied sports science, program management
skills and to develop less experienced coaches.
